Who We Are...
In November 1986, a group of concerned Christians answered God’s call by establishing the Blue Water Pregnancy Care Center. By then, many young men and women had been convinced that abortion was the solution to their unwanted pregnancies. For 21 years, volunteers and staff have been speaking God’s truth into the lives of these confused young people and the best results have been amazing.
Abortion-threatened babies have been given life, parents haunted by past mistakes have received forgiveness and restoration, and uncertain
parents have been shown effective parenting skills. God continues to
advance His good works at BWPCC today! Dedicated Christian volunteers
and staff answer phones and greet visitors daily with truth and hope for
their lives. To date, we’ve served over 3000 clients!
Because of God’s blessings and friends of the center, we converted to a medical center on April 8, 2005. Focus On The Family provided us with much needed expertise raising the bar of excellence, and 80% of the cost of an ultrasound system. The Community Foundation of St. Clair County’s Youth Advisory Council, along with other friends, helped fund the hiring, training, and certifications of nurses and administrative staff. Our annual budget grew from $40,000 in 2003 to a current budget of $153,000.
The addition of nurses and the ultrasound have greatly increased our ability to serve our client’s needs and empower them to make informed decisions and choose life for their babies. Our client load immediately doubled! We look forward to serving over 400 clients this year!
What We Do...
We offer emotional, physical, and spiritual support to those facing sexual decisions, unplanned pregnancy, post abortion trauma, and unexpected parenting obligations. We join them by providing love, encouragement, and truth that promote better decisions, increase their confidence, and restructure dysfunctional parenting patterns.
